A boy of 13, thought to be the youngest child ever arrested by London police for having a gun, has pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm, silencer and ammunition.

The Inner London Crown Court heard the boy, who is too young to be named, was arrested in August after officers raided his family's house as part of an investigation into south London gangs.

He admitted possessing a Russian Baikal pistol, two silencers and 31 cartridges at his home in Lewisham where the gun was found hidden in one of his socks. (Boy had firearm)

Judge Usha Karu said "He was the youngest member of a gang. He agreed to store a firearm on a previous occasion for the same person. He had been given the firearm and silencers and ammunition in a bag and asked by telephone by the same person to separate them and that's what he did."

She granted the boy bail with certain conditions, including a curfew, but said that "custody is almost inevitable."

The boy's barrister, Rhodri James, said the youngster's mother thought he would benefit from a psychiatric report: "His mother is concerned he, at times, displays odd character traits in terms of whether he is being watched."

He said he also would hear voices and turn photographs around so that they were facing the wall.

So far this year, 28 teenagers have died violently on the streets of London amid growing concerns about ever increasing violence, because, as we reported just a few days ago, a secret leaked report from a top government civil servant admitted that violent crime is RISING no matter what lies New Labour tells about it!

And all of New Labour's lies cannot hide the deaths of 28 teenagers murdered in London alone while NuLab claims that violent crime is falling and a 13 year old boy appears in court for possession of a firearm!
