PUT CHILDREN ON DATABASE!

Gary Pugh, the director of forensic sciences at Scotland Yard, and also the new DNA spokesman for the Association of Chief Police Officers, said that if primary school children behaved in a way that indicated they could become criminals in later life, they could be put on the database!

He told The Observer newspaper: "If we have a primary means of identifying people before they offend, then in the longer term the benefits of targeting younger people are extremely large - you could argue the younger the better!" (Children on database)

"Criminologists say some people will grow out of crime; others won't. We have to find out who are possibly going to be the biggest threat to society."

He admitted the controversial idea would raise issues of parental consent, stigmatisation and the role of teachers in identifying future offenders.

There are 4.5million genetic samples on the UK database - but police believe that more would reduce crime further.

If this government is so concerned about reducing crime then why does it not use the methods which it's own figures and reports have proven ACTUALLY WORK?

Like having the police target the thugs and yobs ruining decent people's lives - longer jail sentences - more police on the street?

These are policies which have been shown, time and again, do actually work - so why doesn't the government implement them?

Because New Labour cares NOTHING about you, your children OR your family!

All they care about is getting more and more people on their lunatic databases and they will use any excuse or lie to do so!

So BILLIONS of pounds are being wasted on these ludicrous schemes while NuLab claims there is no money for policies which actually work, and is even cutting back on the police to save money!

What a total shambles - but oh so typical of this useless and corrupt government!
