Gabrielle Browne was jogging in her local park, Burgess Park, SE London, when she was dragged into bushes and then sexually assaulted by Mohammed Kendeh, who had been let out of prison just seven days previously after he had served only four months of a one year sentence!

It now turns out that Mohammed Kendeh had already assaulted five women previously in the same park but had been spared jail and the Home Office had tried to deport him but an immigration tribunal had rejected the request and, as the final insult, Kendeh has now been released only half way through his latest sentence for his attack on her!

Gabrielle Browne is now living in fear after Kendah's release, but has waived her right to anonymity to condemn the criminal justice system which allowed such a dangerous person to offend time and time again with no real punishment to deter him!

In January 2005, Kendeh pleaded guilty at his trial to two charges of indecent assault and was sentenced to four years in jail, a sentence which Gabrielle Browne was understandably furious at, because Kendah was given a reduced sentence due to pleading guilty and the time it had taken for the case to come to court!

Yet despite his horrendous record of attacks against women, Mohammed Kendah, who is now living in a bail hostel, having been placed on the sex offenders register, was released after serving only TWO YEARS of his sentence!

So a serial sex attacker who has committed a string of offences and obviously cares nothing about his victims or indeed the law, is released back onto the streets after just two years - because, let's face it, that's what living in a bail hostel really means!

Gabrielle Browne, left traumatised and too afraid to enter parks or go running alone, said: "How many more people have to suffer at the hands of the Government who want to release criminals back on to our streets...in my case it only took Mohammed Kendeh seven days to re-offend" !

The simple answer is, and always has been, - TOO MANY !
