James Stace kicked, punched and stamped Ferozur Rahman to death while burgling his home.

Stace will have to spend at least 28 years in jail for murdering Mr Rahman whom he attacked and left unconscious in a pool of blood just three days after Christmas.

Ferozur Rahman suffered fatal brain injuries as well as a fractured jaw and larynx, bruising to his face and chin, facial cuts, bruising to the upper chest, arms and knees and fractured ribs. (James Stace)

James Stace had a string of convictions from a young age, many of which included the deliberate targeting of homes occupied by elderly people, and had been jailed several times.

In February 1998 he was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment after admitting 12 offences of robbery at Newcastle upon Tyne Crown Court and asking for 140 other offences to be taken into account.

Sentencing at the Old Bailey, Judge Stephen Kramer told Stace: "You targeted the flat of a vulnerable elderly man living alone and you savagely attacked the elderly - that aggravates the seriousness of this offence."

"It appears that soon after you inflicted these injuries Mr Rahman was likely to have been incapacitated and incapable of summoning help...he collapsed in the doorway and fell."

"You inflicted these injuries by kicking and stamping and he died as a result of the injuries inflicted by you."

His daughter Rina Begum had told the court that his three sisters, seven children and 24 grandchildren had been left "torn apart by emotion".

"How could another human being be so cruel to such an old man?" she said in a victim impact statement.

But today the senseless brutal murder of a defenceless man by scum like James Stace has become commonplace in New Labour's Britain!

And unless and until we get REAL punishments for REAL crimes, including the return of the DEATH PENALTY, these senseless brutal murders will continue!
