Regardless of the fact that the Home Office keeps on proving that it is totally "unfit for purpose" more than 5000 civil servants working there received over £3.6 MILLION in 2006 ! (Full story here)

And THAT was in a year which saw a record number of scandals which put a great many people at risk and resulted in several murders directly as the result of that shambolic department !

But why worry about how useless you are when you can pocket taxpayers money as a reward for that incompetence ?

Here is a list of just a FEW of the Home Office blunders since January 2006:

Jan 4th 2006 - A Sex for passports scandal was exposed in the Sun, which revealed that Home Officials officials were handing out passports in exchange for sex !

Jan 29th 2006 - it was revealed that 322 sex offenders had gone missing - not only that but the Home Office was warned, THREE YEARS previously, about the danger !

21st May 2006 - 2700 people were labelled as criminals, even though they had done nothing wrong - many suffered personal losses as a result !

18th Sept 2006 - Judge Timothy Nash brands the Home Office as "Totally Incompetent" over the Mohammed Gaparkhoev shambles.

9th Jan 2007 - It was revealed that 27000 files of criminals were left sitting on Home Office shelves for years !

29th Jan 2007 - The Home Office admitted they had lost 2000 passports!

17 May 2007 - a DNA shambles meant that 26,000 DNA profiles had been left sitting in boxes for years !

And remember this level of incompetence has been endemic in this totally useless department for years, and will remain as long as those responsible get rewarded with huge bonuses instead of the sackings they so richly deserve, but then, these bonuses WERE awarded by Tony Blair, the sleaziest and most money grubbing incompetent of them all !
