CHILD RAPIST GETS £50,000 !

The Somalian, who illegally entered this country on a fake Kenyan passport, and who raped a 13 year old child at knifepoint, has been awarded £50,000 for "illegal detention" !

Although he is considered extremely dangerous and cannot be let out of jail for the risk he poses to women, a judge has ruled he is being "unlawfully detained" !

The man, born in Mogadishu, claimed asylum in 1995 after entering the country with a bogus Kenyan passport and although his claim was rejected, he was granted 'exceptional leave to remain' until February 2000.

But in February 1998 he raped the 13 year old and was jailed for eight years of which he served only six.

At the end of his sentence he could not be released onto the streets because of the extreme danger he posed to women and because of fears he would abscond and take revenge on the girl he had raped.

Because he refused to voluntarily return to Somalia, claiming his life would be in danger, the authorities had no choice but to keep him in jail.

Yet unbelievably, the judge, Mr Justice(!) Calvert-Smith, claimed that he had been "illegally detained" even though he was told that 48 Somali deportees had returned to Somalia voluntarily over the last three years !

But why bother with facts or logic as long as you can prove your touchy-feely liberal credentials by awarding a child rapist £50,000 - at least FOUR TIMES what the victim would have received from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board !

James Frayne of The Taxpayers Alliance, called it "one of the most repellent compensation awards ever made."

He said "politicians should be ashamed of themselves for creating a criminal justice system which allows this sort of thing to happen.

"If any human rights legislation is responsible for this ruling it should be repealed immediately."
