Politically Correct Ian Blair

Many people who are physically unable to do the job, or whose religious beliefs conflict with their work, are being recruited simply to fill "quotas" in The Metropolitan Police!

Steve Roberts, a deputy assistant commissioner at Scotland Yard, has finally admitted what a great many people have suspected for years - in their drive to be politically correct his force is recruiting officers who are unable to do the job properly ! (Full story here)

DAC Roberts, who was awarded the QPM by the Queen in the 2005 New Year's Honours List, said there was a "whole cohort" of inadequate officers coming into the London force because it had "shied away" from tackling the issue.

In recent months the Met has been embarrassed by a series of incidents involving officers with religious and physical difficulties including a female Muslim officer who refused to shake Sir Ian Blair's hand, a Seventh Day Adventist who wanted Sundays off, another Muslim officer who refused to guard the Israeli embassy on "moral grounds", a Jewish officer who wanted Fridays off, and officers with severe Dyslexia.

It was an exquisite irony that it should be Sir Ian Blair who was left with egg on his face when a female Muslim officer refused to shake his hand for many Met insiders blame HIM for creating a culture of Political Correctness.

He was already known as the Most Politically Correct officer in the Met when he became head of the Metropolitan Police in February 2005.

One of the first things he did was change the Met's logo because it "discriminated" against short-sighted people - then he approved hiring 24 'diversity advisors' to give advice on race and gay issues to police investigating major crimes and in addition to a multitude of other scandals he was found guilty, in 2005, of "hanging three white detectives out to dry" to prove his anti-racist credentials!

Since then he has proved that Steve Roberts was totally correct when he said his force is recruiting officers who are unable to do the job properly - and at the head of them all is "Sir" Ian Blair - the most Politically Correct of all cops!

No wonder that over 6000 police have quit in the last 3 years !
