Sergeant Roy Jennings

A furious row between a police sergeant and his own force broke out on Monday after Police Sergeant Roy Jennings discovered that yobs who hurled a stone through his car window escaped prosecution.
When two teenagers hurled a stone through his car window, showering his wife with glass, Sgt Jennings immediately pulled over and ran after the youths who cycled off at speed. However, he later caught up with the 13-year-old vandals and held them until they were arrested.
Despite his efforts he is frustrated the boys were only given cautions for criminal damage and will not go to court.
Sgt Jennings said: 'They should have been charged with criminal damage likely to endanger life, but instead they've just been let off with a slap on the wrist.'

Welcome to real world!
Strange how policemen suddenly want offenders punished when they are at the receiving end isn't it?
What a pity that when it's someone else the "protect-a-thug" mentality takes over and decent people attacked by thugs are the ones who end up in court!
Will Sgt Jennings himself now end up in court for "assaulting" these little thugs?
