PRISONS

The prison crisis facing this country is the result of a decade of Labour betrayal!

Firstly we have a justice system which deliberately protects the guilty, allowing offenders to walk free from court again and again, laughing at a system which they rightly see as useless and going on to commit ever increasing number of crimes!

We have a massive influx of immigrants, many of whom are criminals who, thanks to the EU, we cannot refuse entry to!

Soft and venal judges have time and again deliberately lowered sentences for even the most vicious crimes until today even murderers are allowed to plead guilty to manslaughter and receive only 2-3 years in jail - if that!

Under New Labour, it is a crime for any child to be punished for anything, and any parent attempting to discipline their child will end up in jail themselves - so now we have children, who have never known a day's discipline in their lives, killing other children!

We have police who, more and more, are allowing thugs to get away with anything, but arresting those who dare to stand up to the thugs while the thugs themselves walk away laughing!

And rather than be "Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime," New Labour has deliberately downgraded almost all crimes, with many crimes now only receiving a caution - if that - just so they can claim that crime figures are falling - well the figures may be falling but the crimes are not!

Finally we have the wretched Human Rights Act, which has turned out to be the best friend a criminal can have and which New Labour hasn't got the guts to throw out!

The end result of all of New labour's policies has been a massive INCREASE in crime and the seriousness of those crimes, needing vast numbers of prison places which New Labour just didn't bother building, even though they were warned about the problems time and again!

Now they are in total panic, not daring to do the things which would bring a REAL fall in prison numbers and a massive DECREASE in crime - Repeal the Human Rights Act, deport ALL foreign nationals who commit a crime in this country and, most importantly of all, bring back REAL punishments for REAL crimes!

New labour will NEVER do that - but WE will!
